The Barrister Salome Bake Kisira Foundation (BSBKF) has distributed Iftar packages to 1,000 residents across Ilorin, Kwara State, as part of its humanitarian outreach aimed at supporting fasting Muslims and vulnerable members of the community during the holy month of Ramadan.
The distribution exercise, which took place on Sunday, March 8, 2026, was conducted simultaneously at several designated locations within the Ilorin metropolis, including Seriki Compound, Gambari; Jagun Junction, Okelele; Ita Merin Junction along Alore Road; and Elegede Mosque in Eruda.
Beneficiaries from different communities turned out in large numbers to receive the Iftar packages, with the programme conducted in a peaceful and well-organized atmosphere. The initiative was designed to ease the burden on fasting Muslims while promoting the spirit of compassion, generosity, and communal support that characterizes the Ramadan period.
Community leaders, representatives, and beneficiaries commended the Founder of the Foundation, Barrister Salome Bake Kisira, for her humanitarian commitment and consistent support for community welfare across the state. They described the initiative as a meaningful intervention that reflects her dedication to improving the well-being of residents, particularly the less privileged.
Barrister Kisira is the daughter of the late Elder Peter Kisira, a former Deputy Governor of Kwara State, whose legacy of public service and community development continues to inspire philanthropic initiatives across the state.
A committed stakeholder in the socio-political development of Kwara State and an active member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Barrister Kisira is also widely recognized as a strong supporter of the leadership aspiration of Ambassador AbdulFatai Yahaya Seriki, MFR, Managing Director of Kursi Investments Limited and a gubernatorial aspirant of the APC in Kwara State.
Speaking through the foundation, Barrister Kisira reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to sustaining impactful humanitarian programmes that promote social welfare, strengthen community solidarity, and support vulnerable populations across Kwara State.
The foundation also expressed appreciation to volunteers, community leaders, and members of the public whose cooperation contributed to the successful and peaceful execution of the distribution exercise.
