Senator Sadiq Congratulates Newly Elevated First-Class Traditional Rulers in Kwara State



- Commends Governor  Abdulrazaq for his commitment to strengthening traditional institutions in the state


The Distinguished Senator representing Kwara North Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Committees on Trade and Investment as well as Rules and Business, Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar, has extended his warmest congratulations to the ten distinguished traditional rulers recently elevated to First-Class status in Kwara State.


The Senator described the elevation as a historic recognition of merit, leadership, and unwavering service to the people. He lauded the monarchs for their enduring commitment to peacebuilding, cultural preservation, and grassroots development.


The royal fathers honored with this elevation are:

Senator Sadiq noted that the elevation of these revered monarchs reflects their remarkable contributions to the stability and advancement of their respective domains.


“These royal fathers have consistently demonstrated exemplary leadership and have remained steadfast as custodians of our traditions and promoters of unity. Their elevation is richly deserved and widely celebrated.” 


The Senator also commended the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, CON, for what he described as a bold and visionary decision that reinforces the importance of traditional institutions in governance.


“His Excellency has shown great foresight and respect for our heritage by recognizing the invaluable roles played by these monarchs. This decision will further strengthen collaboration between the government and traditional rulers in advancing peace and development across Kwara State.” 


He expressed confidence that the newly elevated First-Class rulers would continue to provide purposeful leadership and serve as pillars of stability in their communities.


The Lawmaker concluded by praying for long life, wisdom, and continued prosperity for all the monarchs, urging them to sustain their legacy of service to humanity.
