Youths from across the 16 Local Government Areas of Kwara State, under the platform Kwara Youth for Good Governance, have declared their support for the continuity of good governance in the state, while endorsing Engr. Femi Sanni (ARABA) as a preferred leadership choice for the future.
This position was contained in a communiqué issued at the end of a stakeholders’ gathering held on Friday, April 10, 2026, where the group outlined its collective stance on governance, leadership direction, and the political future of Kwara State.
The youths reaffirmed their belief in sustaining developmental progress in the state, stressing that continuity remains essential for consolidating ongoing reforms and achievements.
They also expressed strong support for the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, commending his leadership direction and reform initiatives. According to the communiqué, the group endorsed his re-election bid, citing the need for stability and consistency at the federal level.
Speaking on the leadership needs of Kwara State, the group emphasized the importance of competence, experience, accessibility, and a people-centered approach. They noted that effective alignment with the federal government would be critical in attracting development and maximizing opportunities for the state.
After what they described as extensive consultations and careful observations, the youths declared that Femi Sanni possesses the character, capacity, and experience required to lead Kwara State into a new phase of inclusive growth and development.
The communiqué further stated the group’s readiness to mobilize support across all 16 Local Government Areas in backing a leadership vision anchored on unity, inclusion, and responsive governance.
“This declaration is made freely, independently, and in the interest of the progress of Kwara State and Nigeria,” the statement read.
The communiqué was signed by the Convener of the group, Salman Idris Olamilekan, who reiterated the commitment of Kwara youths to actively participate in shaping the state’s political and developmental future.
The gathering concluded with a unifying message: “Kwara TiWa Ni.”
