Afon Youth groups under the aegis of Kwara Civic Catalyst, in collaboration with Afon youths, have called on Hon. Suleiman Lekan Gadaff to contest for the Afon Constituency seat in the Kwara State House of Assembly, citing his proven grassroots engagement and track record of community development.
The call was made during a press conference held today in Ilorin the capital of Kwara State themed “Afon Constituency Deserves More: A Call for Hon. Sulaimon Lekan Gadaff to Step Forward,” where the group expressed confidence in Gadaf’s leadership capacity, competence, and commitment to public service.
Speaking on behalf of the group, the youths described Hon. Gadaff as a leader deeply connected to the people, noting that his accessibility and understanding of community needs distinguish him as a credible representative of the masses.
They highlighted several of his interventions across Asa Local Government Area, including the repair of boreholes in nine communities, empowerment programmes for youths and women, distribution of educational materials, support for elderly women and men, and the organization of summer lessons with scholarships for 30 beneficiaries.
The group maintained that his emergence would bring renewed hope, inclusiveness, and sustainable development to Afon Constituency, particularly for young people.
They also appealed to the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, to support their call, expressing confidence in his commitment to promoting credible and people-oriented leadership.
Reaffirming their support for the current administration, the youths concluded that Gadaff’s potential representation would mark a turning point for the constituency and usher in meaningful progress.

Good afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen,
We welcome you all to this Press Conference organized by Kwara Civic Catalyst in conjunction with Afon Youths.
THEME: "Afon Constituency Deserves More: A Call for Hon. Sulaimon Lekan Gadaff to Step Forward"
The Kwara Civic Catalyst Youth hereby call on Hon. Suleiman Lekan Gadaf to contest for the House of Assembly seat of Afon Constituency. This call is borne out of our deep conviction in his capacity, competence, and unwavering commitment to public service.
Hon. Suleiman Lekan Gadaf has consistently demonstrated a strong connection with the grassroots, having mingled and dined with the people across communities. His accessibility and understanding of the needs of the people distinguish him as a leader who truly represents the interests of the masses.
We recognize his calm, reserved, and focused personality, which positions him as a thoughtful and strategic leader. These qualities are essential for effective legislation and purposeful representation in the Kwara State House of Assembly.
We are convinced enough by his understanding of the grassroots system and his track record to the people of Asa Local Government Area and most especially to the people of Afon Constituency. Among many interventions he has done are:
1. Repaired boreholes in 9 communities in Asa Local Government
2. Cash support empowerment scheme for youths and women (3 consecutive times)
3. Food palliatives for aged women
4. Distribution of instructional and writing materials for school children
5. Organized summer lessons 3 times, followed by scholarships to 30 children at the end of every summer lesson, And many more.
As youths from Afon Constituency and Kwara at large, we believe that his emergence will bring renewed hope, inclusiveness, and impactful development to Afon Constituency. His leadership will undoubtedly create opportunities and drive initiatives that will benefit young people and the community at large.
We also respectfully call on His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, to make this request a reality for us. We trust and believe in his leadership capacity and his continued commitment to empowering credible and people-oriented individuals.
The Kwara Civic Catalyst Youth reaffirm our unwavering support for the administration of His Excellency. On his mandate, we shall always stand, believing in his vision for a greater and more prosperous Kwara State.
In conclusion, we firmly believe that Hon. Suleiman Lekan Gadaf’s representation will mark a significant turning point for the youth and the people of Kwara. We remain confident that his leadership will usher in meaningful development and lasting progress for all.
