- Agbelere Dedicates The Award To His Excellency, The Executive Governor of Kwara State And The Good People Of Ilorin East Local Government.
The Executive Chairman of Ilorin East Local Government, Hon. Amb. Mallam Garba Olayinka Lukman Agbelere, has been honoured with the prestigious Kwara State Most Productive Chairman of the Year 2025 award.
The award was presented by the Youth Democratic Coalition (YODECO), Kwara State Chapter, in recognition of his outstanding leadership and impactful governance at the grassroots level.
In his address, the National President of YODECO, Engr. Abdulkadir Alausa, noted that Amb. Agbelere was nominated alongside other council chairmen across the state due to his exceptional performance in multiple sectors within just eighteen months in office. He explained that the Chairman emerged as the winner through an independent online poll, which reflected his strong grassroots appeal and credibility.
Engr. Alausa further revealed that an independent assessment was conducted, during which stakeholders and residents alike spoke highly of the Chairman’s administration. According to him, the widespread positive feedback underscores the people-oriented nature of Agbelere’s leadership.
He emphasized that the Chairman’s projects have had significant grassroots impact, while his policies remain centered on the welfare and development of the people—key factors that earned him the distinguished recognition.
In his response, Amb. Agbelere expressed profound gratitude to the organizers for finding him worthy of the honour. He dedicated the award to His Excellency, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq CON, for his visionary leadership and unwavering support, as well as to the good people of Ilorin East Local Government for their continuous trust, cooperation, and support.
This award serves as yet another testament to Amb. Agbelere’s commitment to effective service delivery, inclusive governance, and sustainable development in Ilorin East Local Government.
