An aspirant for the Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency seat on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, Akintade AbdulMutalib Shittu, has continued his grassroots consultations with stakeholders, youth groups, students, and community associations across Offa Local Government Area of Kwara State.
Akintade, during a series of engagements in Offa, met with members of the legislative arm of the local government led by Rt. Hon. M.O. Sharafa alongside 10 councillors, where discussions centred on grassroots development, party unity, and strengthening the APC structure ahead of future elections.
The APC aspirant also held separate meetings with ward youth leaders, women groups, and party stakeholders, whom he commended for their contributions to community development and commitment to party growth at the grassroots level.
As part of his consultations, Akintade met with student leaders, including the National President of the Offa Students Union, Abass Toheeb Olasunkanmi, and executives of the Students’ Union Government of Federal Polytechnic Offa led by AbdulAzeez Majeed Olanrewaju.
According to him, discussions with the students focused on education, youth empowerment, and creating opportunities that would improve the welfare and future prospects of young people in the constituency.
Akintade also met with members of the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities led by Azeez Olusegun Folorunsho, where issues of inclusion, accessibility, empowerment, and policies protecting the rights of persons living with disabilities were discussed.
Speaking after the engagements, the aspirant said the consultations reaffirmed the importance of people-oriented leadership and continuous engagement with constituents.
“These engagements reinforce a simple truth — effective leadership must remain close to the people,” Akintade said while appreciating residents and stakeholders for what he described as a warm reception and valuable contributions during the meetings.
