Ambassador Dr. Ibrahim Tajudeen Shola Olesin, aspirant for the Ilorin East/Ilorin South Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives under the All Progressives Congress (APC), has extended warm felicitations to His Royal Highness, Alhaji Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, on the occasion of his 86th birthday.
In a goodwill message, Dr. Olesin described the Emir as a symbol of unity, wisdom, and enduring leadership whose reign has brought remarkable peace, stability, and development to the Ilorin Emirate.
“Your Royal Highness represents the finest ideals of traditional leadership, firm in values, yet progressive in vision. Since your enthronement, Ilorin has witnessed unprecedented growth, not only in physical infrastructure but in human development and social harmony,” he said.
Dr. Olesin noted that the Emir’s ability to foster peaceful coexistence among diverse groups has remained a cornerstone of Ilorin’s identity, adding that his fatherly role continues to inspire confidence, respect, and collective progress.
He further commended the monarch’s leadership as Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Chiefs, describing it as instrumental in strengthening traditional institutions and promoting synergy with government for sustainable development.
“At 86, Your Royal Highness stands tall as a beacon of stability and a custodian of our heritage. Your reign has demonstrated that true leadership is defined not by authority alone, but by the ability to unite, to guide, and to build,” he added.
Dr. Olesin prayed for continued good health, wisdom, and longevity for the Emir, expressing hope that his reign will continue to usher in greater peace, prosperity, and development for Ilorin Emirate and beyond.
