Onilu's position is personal to him; it does not represent the collective stance of the party leadership nor the agreed framework for determining our flagbearers in the forthcoming elections.
His remarks appear largely self-serving and reflective of personal political interests, rather than the broader aspirations of our party.
Party members are urged to exercise caution in interpreting such statements, especially given antecedents that call into question the objectivity of such interventions at critical moments in our political process.

The process for selecting candidates for the forthcoming elections remains open and subject to the collective will of our leaders and stakeholders across all levels of the party.
Whether through consensus, direct primaries, or any other constitutionally recognised mechanism, such decisions will be reached through due consultation and in alignment with party guidelines.
Our party members in Kwara State are strongly advised, regardless of present, past office or affiliation, to desist from actions that unduly influence or obstruct established party processes and structures.
At this crucial time, unity, vigilance, and discipline are paramount. Members are therefore advised to be wary of divisive narratives that may undermine internal cohesion or derail our shared objectives.
Our strength lies in our collective resolve and adherence to democratic principles within the party. Let us remain focused, united, and committed to a process that reflects fairness, inclusivity, and the best interests of the APC and the people that we serve.
