Barely a day after two residents were reportedly abducted in Apado village, another community in Ilorin East Local Government Area of Kwara State, Aloko Fara, has reportedly come under attack by suspected bandits.
The latest incident reportedly occurred on Wednesday night at about 11:50 p.m., leaving residents in fear and uncertainty.
According to information obtained by The Crown Online, the suspected bandits invaded Aloko Fara village in the late hours of Wednesday and allegedly unleashed violence on residents.
Our source reported that five villagers were kidnapped, while three other residents sustained injuries during the attack. One person was also reportedly killed.
The incident comes shortly after a similar attack in neighbouring Apado village, where two residents — a man and a woman — were reportedly kidnapped by suspected gunmen.
The series of incidents has raised fresh concerns among residents of the affected communities, with fears growing that criminal elements may be attempting to establish a pattern of attacks across rural communities in Ilorin East Local Government Area.
Residents are reportedly becoming increasingly worried about their safety, particularly during the night, following the recent attacks.
