Olesin Joins Ilorin East/South Reps Race, Picks APC Nomination Form

Dr. Ibrahim Tajudeen Shola Olesin has officially purchased the nomination form to contest for the Ilorin East/Ilorin South Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The development was disclosed in a statement issued by his Media Campaign Office on Thursday in Abuja, describing the move as a major step in a political journey anchored on service, responsibility, and commitment to the people.

Speaking shortly after completing the process, Dr. Olesin said the purchase of the form goes beyond a routine political requirement, noting that it represents a reaffirmation of a long-standing mission shaped by grassroots engagement and community impact.

“This is more than a political process—it is a reaffirmation of a mission that has been shaped over the years through direct engagement with our communities, consistent support for our people, and a clear understanding of what effective representation should look like,” he said.

He explained that the move signals his readiness to serve at a higher level through purposeful legislation, effective oversight, and people-oriented representation.

“The purchase of this form signals readiness—readiness to step forward, readiness to serve at a higher level, and readiness to translate experience into action,” he added.

Dr. Olesin also expressed appreciation for the growing support from party leaders, stakeholders, and constituents, describing it as both humbling and motivating.

“I remain deeply grateful for the encouragement, trust, and overwhelming support I have received. Your belief in this aspiration continues to inspire me,” he said.

As the political process progresses, the aspirant called for unity and active participation from supporters, emphasizing the collective nature of the journey ahead.

“This is not just my journey—it is our collective mission. As we move into the next phase, I humbly seek your continued support, your prayers, and your active involvement. Together, we can build a stronger, more inclusive, and more progressive Ilorin East/Ilorin South,” he stated.

The Media Campaign Office reiterated confidence in his candidacy, describing Dr. Olesin as a prepared and people-focused aspirant with the capacity to deliver effective representation.
