    2027:Mahmud Umar (Oma-Eko) Steps Down, Declares Support For Engr. Abdulquawiy Olododo


     


    After deep reflection, wide consultations with critical stakeholders, and in the best interest of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and the people of Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency, 


    I, Mahmud Umar (Oma-Eko), have taken the decision to step down from the race for the House of Representatives, Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections.


    I hereby throw my full weight, unwavering support, and that of my teeming supporters behind Engr. Abdulquawiy Abdulganiyu Olododo, a dedicated public servant, accomplished engineer, and loyal party man.


    Engr. Abdulquawiy Olododo has served Kwara State diligently in various capacities, including as Technical Assistant to the Governor on Agriculture, General Manager of KWASSIP, Commissioner for Solid Minerals Development, and Commissioner for Works till recently, during which he oversaw critical infrastructure projects across the state. 


    His track record of service, competence, and commitment to development makes him the ideal candidate to provide effective and quality representation for our constituency.


    This decision is not a step back; it is a strategic step forward for unity, continuity, and the greater good of our constituency and the APC. It reflects our collective resolve to present a strong, united front as we work towards victory for our party in 2027.


    To my loyal supporters, youths, women, elders, party leaders, and all stakeholders who stood firmly with me throughout this journey, I am profoundly grateful. Your belief, energy, sacrifices, and commitment have been truly overwhelming. 

    The movement we have built together remains strong and vibrant.


    Let me assure you: this is not the end, but a transition. Our shared vision for grassroots empowerment, youth inclusion, inclusive development, and effective representation remains unchanged. 


    I urge all my supporters to extend the same level of support, unity, and commitment to Engr. Abdulquawiy Abdulganiyu Olododo as we rally together to deliver victory for the APC and sustained progress for the people of Ilorin East and Ilorin South.
