However, findings, based on official documents sighted at the APC state secretariat in Ilorin as of the morning of May 19, 2026, show that only three aspirants Abdulrasheed Akogun, Benjamin Dairo Oyinloye, and Ajibola Stephen, were officially cleared to participate in the primary election scheduled for May 20, 2026.

The APC recently concluded its screening exercise for aspirants contesting various State House of Assembly seats across Kwara State.
A document titled “All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Nomination of Candidates for the 2027 General Election” showed that out of 158 aspirants who obtained nomination forms for the State Assembly election statewide, only 53 were cleared by the screening committee, while no fewer than 105 aspirants were declared “uncleared.”
