Honourable Ahmed Abubakar Ndakene, the Waziri of Shonga, has congratulated Ambassador Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki (MFR) following his endorsement by Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, as the preferred successor ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial primaries slated for Thursday, May 21, 2026.
In a statement issued by his Media Team, Hon. Ndakene described the endorsement announced on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, as a thoughtful, strategic, and unifying decision capable of further consolidating the gains of the APC in Kwara State.
According to him, the endorsement reflects Ambassador Seriki’s longstanding commitment to the party, his grassroots acceptability, and his immense contributions to the success and stability of the APC.
Hon. Ndakene further described Ambassador Seriki as a distinguished statesman, respected philanthropist, and committed party leader with the experience and temperament required to sustain and expand the developmental strides recorded under the present administration.
He also reaffirmed his support and solidarity with the APC leadership and urged party faithful, stakeholders, and supporters across the state to remain united and rally behind the party’s collective interest in order to ensure continuity, stability, and inclusive development in Kwara State.
Hon. Ndakene expressed optimism that the emerging political consensus within the APC would further strengthen the party’s cohesion and position it for greater success in the years ahead.
