The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ilorin East/Ilorin South Federal Constituency, Engr. Abdulquawiy A. Olododo, has expressed profound gratitude to party leaders, supporters, and stakeholders following his emergence as the party's flag bearer for the 2027 House of Representatives election.
In a statement issued after the party's primary election, Olododo described his emergence as a collective victory for the people of the constituency, saying his aspiration has always been driven by a shared vision to provide youthful, experienced, and energetic leadership capable of advancing the interests of Ilorin East and Ilorin South.
He noted that the keenly contested primary election featured several qualified aspirants, adding that he was deeply honoured by the confidence reposed in him by APC members to represent the party in the 2027 general election.
The APC candidate paid glowing tribute to the Governor of Kwara State and Leader of the APC in the state, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, whom he described as his leader and mentor. According to Olododo, the governor's exemplary leadership, commitment to good governance, and dedication to nurturing a new generation of leaders have continued to inspire many young people in public service.
Olododo also commended his fellow aspirants for conducting themselves with maturity, civility, and sportsmanship throughout the primary process. He acknowledged their valuable contributions and emphasized that despite the outcome of the election, the collective objective remains the development and progress of Ilorin East and Ilorin South Federal Constituency.
He further expressed appreciation to party leaders, elders, stakeholders, women, youths, and supporters who worked tirelessly to ensure his success, assuring them that he would not take their trust and confidence for granted.
Calling for unity within the party, Olododo extended an olive branch to all stakeholders and co-aspirants, pledging to work with everyone in the interest of the constituency. He stressed that the responsibility of delivering effective representation and electoral victory in 2027 requires collective commitment and cooperation.
He appealed to residents of Ilorin East and Ilorin South Federal Constituency to support the mission of building a more united, progressive, and prosperous constituency, expressing confidence that with unity and God's grace, the APC would record a resounding victory in the 2027 general election while delivering purposeful and impactful representation to the people.
